TGIF! I decided to try one of the treadmill workouts from February’s Runners World Mag…I really liked this one…even if you aren’t training for a race and just need to spice up your run on the treadmill this is a good one. (Sweat from the elbows good).
Here is what to do…to beat the treadmill blues
Warm up for 1 mile at 6.0
Put treadmill at 2.0 incline…
1 minute at 6.6, 1 minute at 6.3….
Then repeat this pattern with 2 minutes hard, 2 minutes easy, 3 minutes hard, 3 minutes easy…pattern goes (1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-1)..I got in about 4.7 miles this way…and for the last 3 intervals I did it at 7.0 with no incline…great way to wake up on this cold, wet-snow Friday!
Here is my Friday Scramble…2 eggs scrambled (I know they are hidden by the cheese and zucchini)…sautéed onions, zucchini & cheddar cheese.
At BodyAttack class on Tuesday night we were told that “true athletes can hold a plank for 3 minutes”…so my new goal is to hold a plank for this entire song which is 3:50…today I did 2:06 and was dying…1 more minute might be the death of me, but I will do it.
I may have made some monster cookies…my favorite cookie to make and eat…they have everything, PB, Oatmeal, Chocolate Chips & M&Ms! Find the recipe here!! I followed directions except for the parchment paper and they turned out perfect.
We premiered these cookies in my sister’s wedding goodie bags as “MOH” cookies.
If I haven’t mentioned it before you MUST use Ghiradelli chocolate chips…this was my first time using the semi-sweet (I usually use the milk choc) but these were just as good.
Don’t forget to eat dough until your belly hurts…that is really the only reason people “bake” cookies… right??
Yummmmmm
I have a 9 miler to do this weekend….this lady is kinda fast and has some great words of wisdom…

good luck on your 9 miler this weekend! The monster cookies look great. So glad you made them! These are my favorite cookie on my website 🙂
